
When today’s writing prompt came up, I kind of went blank. I mean, there are SO many things I could, and should, do more of. More exercise, more healthy eating, more organization, and so on. So, as I thought a little more, I realized that all of the things previously listed that I could do more of would be achieved with one simple thing – positive affirmations.
Two and a half months ago, I was listening to motivational podcasts daily during my morning walks and it really helped me to get in a positive mindset to start my day. Then I had surgery. And – if you read my blog post from yesterday – this is an “excuse” – and excuses are the “leaning posts of fools!”
I need to stop using my surgery as an excuse for why I am still not regularly exercising, even if it is just gentle stretching to keep my fibromyalgia from getting too bad. I need to re-focus my healthy eating to a view of fueling my body, and not caving to junk cravings.
But most of all – I NEED to listen to my motivational podcasts in the morning, even if it is just on my deck enjoying the sunrise.
So – tomorrow I WILL start my day off with positive affirmations. The rest will fall into place.
