Unfortunately for me, my cultural heritage wasn’t really talked about growing up (or not that I really remember anyways-another story for another blog as to why I don’t have many childhood memories). I know there is Native American and Scottish on my maternal grandfather’s side. On my father’s side, I have traced family history back to England (yes, I have ancesters that came on the Mayflower! So cool!). My maternal grandmother’s family was French Canadian, but I know there were some family members that came from Lithuania.
I have always been fascinated by my ancestry and once I am moved and settled better financially, I would LOVE to explore that. I dabbled a little bit with it about a year ago, but it got to where it would be expensive to keep researching so I shelved the project–for now anyways. I am a huge history buff so this will be a fun project!
