On the eve of my new job here in NH, this prompt is very fitting. First impressions are incredibly important, especially in a new job. I hope to convey an attitude of helpfulness. I also want to show my ability to catch onto things quickly, as promised in my interview.
The job is government accounting for a city. It is out of my normal wheelhouse, but then again so was Servpro and I did well with that in NC. I am not typically one to think highly of myself, even though everyone I’ve worked with assures me I am great. I just never feel that way about myself. Blame my terrible childhood and all that. I have a tough time with self confidence.
Here’s to new beginnings and making a great first impression on my first day tomorrow!
