…and it ain’t gonna be me. This job is slowly sucking the soul out of me. Well, not the job so much as my boss is. Every day, I do my work in fear of how she will rip it apart looking for any tiny mistake (which I get is her job) but the delivery of correcting said mistake is the issue. She belittles me. I am a grown ass woman (almost 47) with 28 years experience. I deserve to be treated with respect. I can’t for the life of me figure out what she has against me. My coworkers tell me she feels threatened by me. Well bully for her. I have no aspirations to railroad her or anything like that. I am not that type of person and if she’d give me half a chance or spend any type of time working with me (her attendance is a major issue—but that is another post LOL) she would know I am her best asset in growing our department. I only want to learn my entire job. I’ve been here 8 months and barely scratched the surface of learning what I need to know because she hasn’t taught me. I’m not being treated right and my patience is wearing thin. I’m not sure how much more I can take. It’s a good job in itself. The benefits are amazing. But the situation is so much less than ideal. I’m not sure I can stick it out the 2 years until she’s retiring. I’ve just been praying on it and putting it in God’s hands to guide me through it and I know my path will be guided how it’s meant to go. I just need to trust.
